Non-essential visitor restrictions at Randwick and Kensington Homes

In line with advice from Australian government health agencies regarding visiting restrictions within our Randwick and Kensington Homes due to COVID-19, the following requirements are in place as of today until at least 11:59pm on Monday 28th June.

  • Any non-essential visits are not allowed. Reasons for essential visitors include;
    • New admissions
    • Palliative care
    • Visitors for residents requiring support for behavioural concerns
    • Essential services required for residents as outlined by government agencies

    The following requirements apply to essential visitors:

    • A maximum of 2 visitors may be permitted per resident, per day
    • All staff and visitors must wear a surgical mask
    • Visitors can attend by appointment only, for one hour per visit unless advised otherwise

Essential visitors must not enter the facility if they:

Residents are not permitted on outings unless essential as determined by St Basil’s management.

It is important to keep connected to your loved ones, especially during these difficult times. Please remember that there are several ways for you to connect with your loved ones each day;

  • Telephone calls
  • Facetime or zoom video calls by appointment
  • Through the glass visits at Randwick, from outside the facility by appointment
